Introducing a way to connect your Telephone System to your desktop computer!
Ever wonder if those two hunks of
electronic wizardry that sit on your desk can work together?
Imagine being able to utilize your mouse
instead of your finger. Imagine, with the use of a headset, never
touching your phone. It may collect more dust that way, however.
Windows
has this wonderful built-in feature called "Computer
Telephony":

Windows Telephony (also known as Computer Telephony, or CTI) allows telephone equipment to talk to your computer, and vice-versa. It uses its own special language, called TAPI, to talk with the telephone on your desk.
What does all this mean, in layman's terms?
Here's what you can do:
Use your "Contacts" from MS Outlook or Exchange to automatically call them on the phone, right now, or on a schedule. The ultimate "Speed Dial"!
Generate "Screen Pops" when a client calls you. You no longer just say "hello", you would say "hello, Mr. Smith. I see your due for an appointment. Are you calling to schedule it now, or can I help you with something else?" Any response to that would probably involve at least one "whoa".
All your calls get logged automatically on your computer, with all the information including how long you talked with each person, and it also works with internal intercom calls.
IN CONCLUSION:
Utilizing the elements listed above, your system can help to eliminate the need for redundant follow-up calls, as well as the costs that go with them. And by improving the efficiency of your staff, this makes every member of your team more productive. Our current line of Toshiba and Samsung systems support this feature.
